Bubbles is a UK-based independent feature film addressing male suicide awareness and men's mental health. It was made through community support — cast and crew contributions, crowdfunding backers, private donors, and professional work given unpaid or at reduced fees. It has received no government or film council funding, and more than £32,000 has already been raised through crowdfunding, direct gifts, and community events.
That effort reached into the production itself. A retired sound engineer came back to work on the film for free — and went on to contribute financially too. Professional actors worked twelve- to fifteen-hour days for little or no fee. Local people lent houses, commercial premises, even an aeroplane — sequences in the film exist because someone simply offered.
The film is now in final post-production. What remains isn't starting the project — it's finishing it properly: professional sound, professional colour, and the certification that lets it reach cinemas.
Male suicide and men's mental health remain serious public and social issues in the UK. Bubbles doesn't lecture — it tells a story, one that gives workplaces, communities, and families a reason, and a way, to talk about something most people find hard to raise.
Sponsorship is designed to be justifiable from a CSR, ESG, or employee-wellbeing budget — not only a charitable one.
A private workplace screening with facilitated discussion is a structured mental-health engagement for your workforce — relevant to any employer, and acutely relevant where these conversations are hardest to start.
Any profit the film makes will go to charities supporting men's mental health and suicide prevention — a commitment by the filmmakers. Your contribution finishes the film; the film then generates for the cause.
Every public claim in this campaign is verified before use, and benefits are only promised once they're deliverable. You're protected from overclaim by design.
For sector-aligned sponsors — construction, trades, transport, logistics, fitness — the film speaks directly to your workforce demographic.
This is a bounded campaign with a named target. Sponsors join a final push, not an open-ended commitment.
Including VAT. Three real supplier costs — no open-ended appeal, no moving target.
Sound and dubbing, and colour grading, are being provided at these rates against typical industry costs of £9,500 and £5,000 — real goodwill built into the number above. Including an additional marketing budget of approximately £5,000, the campaign's overall aspirational target is approximately £15,800. The ask does not extend past that figure.
Sponsors receive recognition, not a financial return. Every benefit below is deliverable — nothing here is promised ahead of what's actually confirmed.
A private, one-off screening of the film for your workforce — available online or in person — followed by a facilitated discussion on men's mental health. It converts sponsorship from "worthy cause" into employee wellbeing spend, a budget line most companies already hold, and it's particularly suited to male-dominated workforces — construction, trades, logistics, fitness — where these conversations are hardest to start and support is thinnest.
